MEET SARAH

Hi! I own Personal Training by Sarah, Swoody’s Fitness LLC. I was born and raised in Wisconsin but have lived in Florida for 2 years. I’ve always had a love for sports, especially soccer. I also enjoyed community volunteer work through Girl Scouts and school clubs. When it came to deciding on a college major, I wanted to incorporate athletics and helping others. That led me to a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I graduated in 2014 and shortly afterwards passed my personal training certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. I’ve worked as a personal trainer since 2014 in gym settings, working with clients who want to lose weight, gain strength, and work on mobility/flexibility. I’ve also worked with clients dealing with cancer, diabetes (or are pre-diabetic), organ transplants, MS, ALS, pacemakers, and knee and hip replacements. This wide variety of clients allowed me to grow as a trainer in being able to tailor very specific workouts for an individual client’s needs. In 2020, I began my own business. Taking that leap has been the greatest adventure, and I love every minute of owning a business that helps people live a healthy lifestyle every day!

INDIVIDUALIZED WORKOUT

Every workout is designed just for you and your goals. At each workout, I meet the client where they are, for example, one session might be mostly strength training, but if at the next session the client is having hip pain, we work on mobility and stretching.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Health and fitness is not only about what your body looks like on the outside but also on the inside! I help clients live a healthy lifestyle that is all about balance—eating whole foods as much as possible while still enjoying favorite foods and incorporating daily physical activity. My goal is to help clients feel good every day.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING

My clients aren’t just clients to me—they are my friends. Working together allows us to grow a friendship that I treasure, and I only want the best for them. I do all I can to help them succeed all while having an enjoyable time together.

I started my lifestyle change in July of 2020 with Personal Training by Sarah. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t prepared for the change that was in the making in regard to my eating and exercise. I started with once a week, and that quickly turned into twice a week as I progressed in my fitness journey. I’ve come a LONG way in this journey, and I always had her there for any help/motivation I needed to get me through the workouts. I weighed 304 pounds when I started, and I’m currently sitting in the low 240s. Down to 10.8% body fat and 35 total inches. I’ve been training with Sarah for five years. When I began working with her, I was stressed, in poor physical condition, and hadn’t done any regular exercise for 8 years. I had health issues that left me short winded when I did anything physical, even walking up the stairs. I had very low energy and motivation to work out. Over the past 5 years of training with Sarah, we’ve met twice a week for hour-long workouts. Our sessions are vigorous, consistently challenging, motivating, and enjoyable.
